FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) - Plastics

This common 3D printing technology is an inexpensive and reliable method for the production of prototypes, but also for the production of small series.

(Fused Deposition Modelling) - metal

FDM technology in metal is an alternative to classic SLM printing. It enables the production of machine elements, pipe connections, spare parts as well as tools, fixtures and brackets.

Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)

Complex structures, geometries and intricate moulds made of rubber or plastic can be processed using the SLS 3D printing process.

Selective Laser Melting (SLM)

The 3D printing technology «Selective Laser Melting (SLM)» is used for the production of functional components, especially those made of metal.

MultiJet Fusion (MJF)

The 3D printing technology of the Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) process is based on the fusion of powder layers and is a more cost-effective alternative to the SLS process.

Investment casting

This hybrid solution is ideal for applications where an injection-moulded quality surface is required but the geometry is too complex or costly for conventional production methods.

Stereolithography (SLA)

Stereolithography SLA enables the production of highly transparent components in a way that is almost impossible with any other technology.

Binder Jetting (BJ)

The finished product, e.g. made of quartz sand, can be used untreated for (metal) casting moulds or for interior design objects.

Frequently asked questions about the online 3D printing service

  • How can I upload my 3D models and which file formats are supported?

The platform can process the most common formats for 3D models and calculate the price automatically. The following formats are currently supported:

.3dm, .3ds, .3dxml, .3mf, .CATPart, .dae, .dlv, .dlv3, .dxf, .exp, .fbx, .iges, .igs, .jt, .model, . obj, .ply, .prt, .skp, .slc, .sldprt, .step, .stl, .stp, .vda, .vdafs, .vrml, .wrl, .x_b, .x_t, .zcp, .zpr

If required, other formats can also be processed. Make an «individual request» if the file cannot be uploaded and calculated automatically.

  • What can I do if I don't have a 3D print file?

You can have a 3D print file created by us:

    Step 1:Register without obligation

Step 2: Send us a message with the following information:

    • Where the component will be used
    • The property of the surface finish
    • Desirable properties such as the colour
    • Exact dimensions of the component
    • 2D file in the form of photo, sketch, ...
    • Optimisations: What exactly should be improved, e.g. reducing the weight of the component

  • Which materials can I choose for my 3D print?

You can apply for your 3D print in various materials. You can choose from the following materials:

    • Plaster
    • Plastic
    • Metal
    • Quartz sand
    • Resin

  • Will my 3D printed models be treated confidentially?

You can rest assured that your designs and 3D models will be treated confidentially. We are also happy to guarantee this contractually.

  • How is the quality of my 3D prints ensured and what tolerances apply?

Industrial printers produce more precise results compared to conventional FDM printers thanks to high-precision laser and projector technology. However, the tolerances pose a challenge that can be solved. Depending on the material, technology used and alignment in the build space, slight deviations can occur.

An accuracy of +/- 0.3 mm can generally be expected. Very good results can be achieved with suitable post-processing methods.

  • What type of post-processing is offered, e.g. polishing, painting or sandblasting?

Below you will find a selection of post-processing methods for additive manufacturing:

    • Painting in various colours
    • Colouring of 3D printed parts
    • Vibratory grinding/trowalising for a smooth surface
    • Heat treatment

The standard processes available are listed on our platform once you have selected the technology and material. If you require special post-processing that is not listed in the standard selection or would like to combine several post-processing processes, you can make an «individual enquiry».

We will be happy to make you an offer for an additively manufactured component with the desired post-processing and realise it according to your requirements.
