The container functions as a mobile workshop
Garaventa is a renowned Swiss company known worldwide for the construction of cable cars in summer and winter tourist resorts as well as in urban areas. In addition to the construction of funiculars and gondola lifts, Garaventa’s portfolio also includes material cableways and demanding cabling work within the Doppelmayr Group. In Switzerland, the company handles sales, planning, commissioning, and service for all types of railway systems.
In the past, Garaventa tools were delivered to construction sites in wooden crates. After use, these crates had to be checked, returned, and often repaired, which required considerable effort.
After Garaventa had already ordered six workshop containers from SFS, the idea arose to develop a special tool container for the construction sites. After several discussions and drafts, SFS submitted an offer for a fully equipped container including assembly and labeling. The containers are from an external supplier, while everything else is supplied by SFS: from the tools to the hard foam inserts to the workshop equipment and shelves from the Hoffmann range, with a small selection from the MOBILO® range. A complete success!
