The ongoing price increases for key raw materials are affecting the entire supply chain. In order to continue to ensure the highest product quality and availability, we have adjusted the prices for certain items. The alloy or inflation surcharge is already included in the prices shown.

Reasons behind price developments

The current price increases are due to the following factors:

• Alloy Surcharge: Tungsten is currently experiencing significant price increases, as supply and demand have become structurally out of balance. Global production is heavily concentrated in China and is constrained by government control, environmental constraints, and limited production capacity. At the same time, demand from numerous industrial applications is rising steadily. Since tungsten is virtually irreplaceable and the key intermediate product in the supply chain (APT) is strongly market driven, these factors have a direct impact on raw material prices.
  
• Inflation Surcharge: The ongoing conflict in the Middle East is causing an imbalance in the global energy markets and increasing uncertainty in the supply of crude oil. The resulting supply shortages and price volatility are driving up the costs of energy and transport in particular. As crude oil is a key raw material for many petrochemical products, rising crude oil prices also have a direct impact on the prices of various industrially used raw materials.
