Insert nuts

Press-in nuts are fastening elements with a thread. They have a groove. Press-in nuts, also known as setting nuts, have a serrated collar. This collar ensures that the displaced material is evenly distributed in the groove of the nut when it is pressed into a sheet. The even distribution results in a particularly good hold. The screw can then be screwed in from the rear.

Clinch nuts are available with different coatings and in different strength classes. The press-in nut can be heat-treated to achieve greater thread strength than the counterpart. A special tool is required to fit press-in nuts.

When is a press-in nut used?

Clinch nuts are generally used in the fields of electronics and precision mechanics. They are characterised by their compact and clean connection. In addition, press-fit nuts are highly resistant and can withstand high torque loads.
