Carbide − steel shanks with 700 - 800 N/mm2 strength and flat chamfered mounting surface. Fitted with diamond ground carbide inserts. Angles on the inserts are precision ground. All turning tools are supplied with sharp cutting edges. Sharpening the cutting edge with a boron carbide hand lapper will increase the tool edge life. The extent of the wear area is dependent on the cutting conditions. For roughing and interrupted machining it is imperative that the cutting edges are sharpened.
