Version:
Measurement device for convenient and practical field strength measurement. For magnetic powder crack detection workpieces are magnetised by a current or field passing through them. For reliable detection of cracks a certain minimum magnetising field must be achieved. After the test the workpiece is usually demagnetised.
Thanks to its user-friendly operation and robust rubberised protective frame the DEUTROMETER is suitable for rough everyday conditions of testing. The DEUTROMETER measures magnetic fields, both constant and low-frequency alternating. Both the magnetising field strength and also the residual field strength are measured directly after each other.
- Large illuminated display
- Constant fields / alternating fields are detected automatically. This eliminates false measurements due to incorrect setting of the instrument.
- The selected unit of measurement is shown directly in the display.
- Visual and acoustic warnings if the limit value is exceeded, allowing quick checking of workpieces
- Simultaneous display of the measured value and maximum value
- Selectable measurement modes: Standard display or bar chart display for visual limit value checking
- No calibration is necessary
- Satisfies the requirements of EN ISO 9934-3:2002 chapter 9.3
- Suitable for inspection tasks to EN ISO 17638 chapter 5.5.2
Measurement properties:- Measurement variables: magnetic field strength H or induction B (in air)
- Measurement units: mT, A/cm, kA/m, Gauss
- Measurement methods: DC = measurement of a constant field that does not vary over time, with assignment of a + or - as the leading sign of the magnetic field AC = effective value in an alternating field (true RMS)
Application areas:- Measurement constant field / alternating field (automatic detection)
- Measurement constant field / alternating field (automatic detection with limit value monitoring)
- Constant field measurement (e.g. for residual fields)
- Alternating field measurement (e.g. measurement of the magnetising intensity)
