The flat chisel with SDS plus jams less and advances faster than conventional flat chisels. The self-sharpening reinforcing ribs create not only lateral but also vertical cracks in the material. This results in greater material removal and prevents the chisel from jamming. The viper serration of the cutting edge also enables faster progress. The chisel is designed for final adjustment work in concrete and building stone, for tearing or removing walls and for restoring joints and exposing reinforcements. It is compatible with the SDS plus pick-up system. However, it can also be used directly with hammers of the type with SDS plus with rotary stop.
The flat chisel with SDS plus has a 30 % longer service life and a 15 % higher material removal rate than conventional chisels.
