Nord-Lock® SC wedge-locking washers for steel constructions are wedge-locking washers specially designed for use in steel constructions and for the installation of HV/HR fittings in accordance with the European standard EN 14399-3/EN 14399-4/EN 14399-8.

Application Area:
Nord-Lock® SC washers for steel structures can easily replace standard EN 14399-6 washers to prevent the bolted joint from loosening. The SC wedge-locking washers are suitable for a wide range of applications in structural engineering. They are approved for use with high-strength bolt fittings (HV or HR system) by the national technical approval no. Z-14.4-629 and the European technical assessment ETA-20/0010 of the DIBt. Like original Nord-Lock® wedge-locking washers made of steel and stainless steel, SC wedge-locking washers can be used for non-preloaded (scheduled) bolt sets in accordance with EN 15048. This is approved via Z-14.4-705 and ETA-19/0813 of the DIBt.
Application Notes:
Nord-Lock SC wedge lock washers for steel structures can easily replace a standard washer according to EN14399-6 to prevent the bolt from loosening. The SC wedge lock washers are suitable for a wide range of structural engineering applications. An excellent application is where there are dynamic load changes and vibrations, for example in cranes and crane systems, noise barriers and conveyor substructures.
They are safe to use with high-strength bolts and are approved by the national German technical approval DIBt Z-14.4-629 and the European technical approval ETA-2/1 of DIBt.
SC wedge lock washers can be used in the same way as conventional Nord-Lock wedge lock washers made of steel and stainless steel in non-planar prestressed connections according to EN 1548. They are approved via the national German technical approval Z-14.4-75 and the European technical approval ETA-19/813.
