Coltogum kneading sealant is a permanently elastic sealing and kneading compound based on polyisobutylene that is non-shrinking, self-adhesive, universally mouldable and remains age-resistant and permanently elastic in its shape. It can be used indoors and outdoors and on many materials. This compound is particularly suitable for sealing pipe openings, cracks and holes in sanitary and electrical applications, for glass constructions and tinsmith work, in aluminium and metal construction as well as car and vehicle construction. Also serves as a mounting aid for mounting adhesives or for mechanical fastenings. Can also be used as a barrier to limit assembly and insulating foams.

Only apply to a clean, grease-free, dry and stable surface. Existing joints and loose parts must be completely removed beforehand. Pre-knead the required pieces of sealant and modelling clay by hand and press into the cracks or joints to be sealed by hand, with a spatula or other tools. It is elastic and adapts to every joint. Pull off or press on corner joints at a 45° angle (without water / smoothing agents). Not suitable for sealing underwater joints (but is permanently wet-resistant). This modelling sealant is thermoplastic which hardens at colder temperatures and softens at warmer temperatures. The modelling sealant does not work on rough contact surfaces such as wood, tiles, ceramic tiles, concrete and polystyrene. Must not be used on natural stone and cannot be sanded or painted over. Not suitable for permanent wet areas and areas exposed to the weather.
