Description:
The high-quality epoxy resin mortar is a two-component system that achieves very high loads in the tensile and pressure zone. It is used in pre-plug and push-through installation and can be used with the standard range of ASTA/IST and UPM-A, as well as with standard anchor rods and concrete reinforcing steel. In addition to its approval for concrete, the UPM 55 is also approved for reinforcement connections and is suitable for diamond-drilled holes and underwater applications. The 390ml cartridge and extended processing times make the epoxy resin mortar ideal for professional series assembly and especially for deep drill holes with large diameters.
Advantage:
- Wide range of approvals: ETA Option 1 approval, retroactive reinforcement connection, seismic and fire protection testing
- Long curing times: Extended curing time makes it ideal for deep boreholes and large diameters
- Wide range of applications: Epoxy resin enables special applications such as underwater anchoring and increases flexibility
- High loads: The high-quality epoxy resin mortar is one of the strongest mortar formulations
- Fastening close to edges: The expansion pressure-free fastening allows for small edge and centre distances and prevents installation damage in the edge area
- Flexible choice of drill: Diamond drilling, hollow drilling and hammer drilling are possible in accordance with approvals
- High safety: Threaded rods from M8, internal thread anchors from M5 in concrete Option 1 can be used in accordance with approvals
- Carefree working: Suitable for use in water-filled drill holes
- Flexible working: By changing the static mixer, opened cartridges can be reused
- Long shelf life: UPM 55 injection mortar can be stored for up to 36 months
Content:
1 x cartridge 390ml, 2 x static mixer
Application Area:
Approved for anchoring in:
Concrete C20/25 to C50/60, cracked and uncracked
Application Notes:
Function: The resin and hardener are stored separately in the dual-chamber cartridge and are only mixed to form a mortar when squeezed out by the static mixer. The static mixer ensures that the two components are mixed thoroughly without any bubbles and protects the injection mortar from hardening inside the cartridge. The extruded injection mortar completely surrounds the anchor, bonds to the borehole wall and seals the borehole. For multiple use of an injection mortar, the static mixer is not removed after the first use. The mortar hardens inside the static mixer, which is only replaced when the mortar is next used.
Installation: Upat injection mortar UPM 55 is used with Upat anchor rods in pre-insertion or push-through installation and with Upat internal thread anchors in pre-insertion installation.
Drill hole, clean and fill. Glue in anchor. Screw on attachment – done. The anchor is pressed into the filled drill hole by hand with slight twisting movements. The temperature in the building material must not fall below the specified minimum value while the mortar is hardening. Minimum cartridge temperature +5°C
Tools: Drill, drill press, blow-out device (UPM AB), brush (UP BS), extrusion device (UPM DM P/AM), torque wrench
