Description:
The Upat UKA3 Plus composite anchor is a proven, high-performance fastening system consisting of a mortar cartridge and threaded rod. The system has ETA approval for cracked and uncracked concrete and is also suitable for use in natural stone with a dense structure. Common applications include heavy steel structures, railings, stairs, support feet and silos.

Application Notes:
Function: The hardener is stored separately from the resin and quartz sand in the glass cartridge. When the anchor is vibrated into the drill hole, the glass cartridge containing the hardener, resin and quartz sand is destroyed and mixed with the drill dust. The reaction produces a fast-curing synthetic resin mortar that firmly bonds the anchor to the drill hole without the need for cleaning.
Installation: The Upat UKA3 Plus composite anchor is installed with the Upat ASTA anchor rod in a pre-insertion or push-through installation and with the Upat IST internal thread anchor in a pre-insertion installation. Drill the hole, insert the cartridge, vibrate the anchor rod/internal thread anchor into place, allow to cure – done. The ASTA anchor rod and the IST internal thread anchor must be vibrated into the drill hole with the cartridge using a drill in hammer-drill mode. The temperature in the building material must not fall below the specified minimum value during the curing of the mortar. Minimum cartridge temperature -15°C
