The abbreviation EPDM stands for ethylene-propylene-diene, M class. It is a synthetic rubber (artificial rubber) and is polymerized from three raw materials and finally vulcanized with sulfur or peroxides, whereby the elastic properties of ethylene-propylene-diene rubber are developed. EPDM/PP is a weather and UV-stable plastic. It is also resistant to diluted acids and alkalis as well as oils and fats.
