The surface roughness measuring tool is equipped with a high-resolution 7.5 inch/ 19 cm colour TFT display with touch screen function and permits user-friendly and easy operation. A joystick incorporated in the control unit permits reliable and quick positioning of the probe system. The fine positioning of the probe system, for instance when performing measurement in small bores, is done by manual fine adjustment using the handwheel. There are 46 surface characteristics available for analysis of surface roughness, and additionally a large number of shape analyses available such as: radius, angle, steps, coordinate differences.
