Description:
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ DP 8405 NS is a tough and resilient 2-component acrylate-based assembly adhesive. The product is slightly oil-tolerant and bonds metals such as aluminium and stainless steel, plastics such as ABS, PMMA, PC, PVC, as well as elastomers and many other materials. Very short working time means the joined parts can be subjected to a load after a very short time.
Dosing, mixing and application in a single step – for consistent, defined quality. High shear strength – Good peel strength – Good impact resistance. 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ DP 8405 NS is a tough and resilient 2-component acrylate-based adhesive with a 10:1 mixing ratio. Working time at room temperature of 5 minutes – touch dry after 15 minutes. Curing can be accelerated by applying heat. DP 8405 NS builds up a shear strength of over 6.90 MPa in around 20 minutes – increasing throughput and productivity. Possible applications Heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology, special-purpose vehicle construction, manufacture of sports equipment, etc. Sign production: Bonding frames and panels, attaching trim strips and letters, frame assembly, etc. Bonding metals and plastics such as ABS, PC, PMMA and PVC – good adhesion to powder-coated surfaces. Very short working time allows smaller areas to be joined. Due to its non-flowing properties (stability), the product does not run on the surface after being applied. 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ DP 8405 NS is slightly oil-tolerant and bonds many metals and plastics such as ABS, PC, PMMA and PVC. DP 8405 NS has low odour emissions and good impact resistance under dynamic loads. Shelf life at room temperature is 18 months, which makes storage much easier. Good adhesion Acrylate-based 2-component assembly adhesives are the ideal solution for improving manufacturing processes and products in numerous applications. The new generation of acrylate adhesives impress with their lower odour emissions and ensure a better working environment. Acrylate adhesives adhere just as well to low-energy plastics as they do to metals or fibre composites.
