This material is one of the stainless steels according to DIN EN 10088-1 and is an austenitic steel. It belongs to the A4 steel type and is considered acid-resistant. It is a molybdenum-alloyed chrome-nickel steel with very good corrosion resistance and is therefore suitable for coastal climates and industrial environments. It is also largely suitable for environments containing chlorine. (Exception according to DIN EN 1993-1-4). It is easy to weld.
