The Upat IST internal thread anchor is a chemical fastening accessory that offers maximum flexibility for anchoring with metric threaded screws or threaded rods thanks to its flush removal from the surface. This anchor, in a galvanised finish, is particularly suitable for indoor fastening in a wide variety of building materials with all Upat injection mortar and cartridge systems. The most economical use of the anchor is in combination with the UKA 3 Plus cartridge. If many fastening points are to be processed one after the other, combination with the injection mortar cartridges is recommended. When installing with the mortar cartridge, the internal thread anchor is set using a rotary hammer drill. During the setting process, the mortar cartridge is destroyed, mixed and activates the mortar compound. When installing with injection mortars, the anchor is pushed into the drill hole by hand with slight twisting movements. The various mortars bond the IST to the entire surface of the drill hole. The system with the IST internal thread anchor is particularly frequently used for the temporary fastening of machines.

The internal thread anchors are approved or suitable for use with various Upat injection mortars and composite anchor cartridges for different building materials.
